E-commerce biggies like Flipkart and Amazon are gearing up for second round of festive sales leading up to Diwali. Flipkart has decided to extend its sale by another week till October 1.

 

Amazon Sends Email to Sellers   

Flipkart’s rival Amazon has sent email to its customers saying them to be prepared for the another sale in the first week of October. It said its customers that they should focus on adding supplies across categories in the run-up to Diwali.

 

Flipkart Plans more Sale Ahead of Diwali

Flipkart senior director Smrithi Ravichandran said, “We are planning more sales ahead of Diwali as Big Billion Days has created the right momentum for us. We have communicated this to our sellers so that they are well prepared and have adequate stocks.”

Amazon spokesperson said the company will not comment on future plans but will look at delighting customers with new offerings and an enhanced shopping experience.

 

Amazon and Flipkart Clocked 50% Growth in Sales

TOI revealed in its September 25 release that, more than five days, players like Amazon and Flipkart timed over half development in deals contrasted with a year ago. Analysts have said the business has enlisted net offers of $1.2-1.7 billion over this period.
