Google Confirmed that on 23rd June it releases a Google Search “Spam Update”. The update rolled out & finished within a single day. Google did not elaborate more about it but it yet, just connected to its overall spam prevention notices.

There were a lot of fluctuations are seen in various tools related to ranking & alot of chatter too. It is still not clear, exactly what type of spam Google is focusing on this update.
Danny Sullivan Confirms that it is a global update & currently focuses on web page and image results, so there is no impact of this on local search results.
