Ride-hailing firm Ola on Thursday said that it has launched ‘Lite’ version of its mobile app that will work on the lowest connectivity, so as to target consumers in tier II and tier III cities of the country.

About the Ola Lite App

Ola Lite is a light weight mobile app that consumes less than 1 MB space and loads within 3 seconds without compromising on the booking experience, said Ola in a blog post.

Few other Internet companies that offer similar lighter apps include Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.

Focusing on Solving Accessibility Challenges

“As the first in the industry to launch the Lite app, Ola fuels its focus on solving accessibility challenges in the emerging towns and cities of the country,” Ola said.

The Bangalore-based organization, which is secured an extraordinary fight with US-based Uber for administration in the Indian market, has just presented highlights like disconnected booking.
