Celebrating their two years of successful reign in the city, Uber announced that they are joining hands with Southern Railway here.

Uber will extend its pick-up & drop services

The partnership would see Uber setting up kiosks and they would be giving pick up and drop services through setting up of dedicated zones at Coimbatore Junction.

It is starting with Coimbatore

The cab aggregator is aiming to provide trusted connectivity options to Railway station and is starting with Coimbatore in this partnership which would mark the successful two years of service in the city in Tamil Nadu, as per a release by Christian Freese, South General Manager at Uber.

Want to fill connectivity gaps

He said that, “We are very excited about our partnership with Southern Railway as we celebrate two years of Uber in Coimbatore. By complementing the available public transit infrastructure, we’re bridging the first and last mile connectivity gaps, making it easily accessible to commuters”.

Uber cab can be booked from Kiosks setup

He said that, “Riders would be able to book an Uber from the kiosks set up at Coimbatore junction and representatives would help riders get to their destinations without having to worry about access to smartphone or internet connectivity, he said. Uber’s mission is to bring reliable transportation to everywhere, for everyone”.
