Yahoo is increasing the date of the deletion of Yahoo groups from the platform which was expected to be done this week. Yahoo announced in October about deleting Yahoo group data by December 14 but now it is extended to January 2020.

We have extended the deadline for Yahoo Groups and will now process ALL requests to download data that are submitted before 11:59 PM PT on Jan 31, 2020 (originally Dec 14). As long as the request meets this deadline, the content will not be deleted until the download is complete.

Download Data
The users can now download data till 31 January 2020 but the data will not be visible on the group from tomorrow onwards. The company is assuring that the user’s data will not be hampered until the requests are processed until 31 January 2020.
Users can request to download their data from the dashboard of the Yahoo accounts. After deleting the content from Yahoo groups the users can do email to the members to the group they belong to.
