Bing has come up with the new idea of reaching out. Bing is becoming a proactive webmaster outreach. That means if a website is facing some crawling issue that impacts negatively on the search results and sites, then Bing may be reaching to the website owners via mails.

A user of bing tweeted mentioning Frédéric Dubut regarding the mail that has come from Webmaster confirming that the mail is not a scam mail.

Hi Natasha – yes there is. When we receive negative user feedback and determine the root cause is a crawl issue, we reach out directly to webmasters to let them know. If these e-mails look like phishing maybe we should improve them – I'll pass the feedback to the crawl team.
