Google has officially published the Web Stories WordPress Plugin which is now available at the WordPress Plugin Repository. This plugin will help WordPress publishers to create content easily in the Google Web Stories format, allowing publishers to get more site visitors. This is now available as a full WordPress plugin which earlier was available at GitHub as a beta version.
Be Visible To More Places On Google
The Web Stories allows users to create short-form content out of the existing content that can be “snacked” on quickly, which is why the format is named Web Stories.
Interested users can click on it so as to get the full article. Content in the Web Story format is expected to be seen at the top of the Google Search but there are chances it could be seen anywhere else.

Web Stories WordPress Plugin Makes The Format Simple
There are many requirements for how the format of the content should be like for Web Stories. Like videos should not be in the horizontal layout and must be oriented in a vertical layout. The minimum size of the font must be 24 pixels and each Web Stories page should not exceed 200 characters. Google’s Web Stories WordPress plugin now makes it simpler and easier to make Web Stories, without reading any manual. The plugin offers a drag and drop interface and templates to easily create web stories.
Google has therefore partnered up with stock image and video providers to allow free videos and images to plugin users.
“…we’ve collaborated with Unsplash to make their extensive high-quality photo library just a click away, as well as Coverr, giving you high-quality, free stock video right from the editor.
We’ll add more templates, stock media integrations and features in the near future.”
“…make the production of stories as easy as possible from a technical perspective.
The Web Stories format comes with preset but flexible layout templates, standardized UI controls, and components for sharing and adding follow-on content.
…can be shared and embedded across sites and apps without being confined to a single ecosystem.
Supports analytics and bookend capabilities for viral sharing and monetization.
Web Stories enable monetization capability for publishers using affiliate links.”
