Background

A Gurugram-based startup & was founded in 2015 by 4 founders namely Ruchir Arora, Saurabh Jain, Rohit Saha, and Rajiv Singh with the goal to bridge the gap between Students and their dreams of pursuing different career opportunities thereafter.

Mentioning the challenges in the field, CollegeDekho was founded when education counseling services to students. Arora Says the primary objective of a startup is to change the mindset of students to take their own way. He adds- it takes few counsellings and a little bit of guidance to realize their strength.

In 2015, they had only 10 clients, now they have more than 500 clients and 450 education counselors.

Funding

Collegedekho is using technology to wrap the Education system of India. It has chatbots which help students in crowdsourcing their opinions. Hence the product has all the feature to attract investors. The startup has quite a no. of funding and investors in its piggy bank. In 2016, it raised US$2 million, and in May, it raised another US$8 million. Arora further added that funds will be using in nourishing the infrastructure, investing in technology and move to new areas.

Further added, with the recent funding, we have also obtained Scholarship Facilitation Services to grow our global footprint, especially in the USA, UK & Europe.

CollegeDekho has now expanded to cities like Bangalore, Chennai, Chandigarh, Gurugram, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai and New Delhi.
