Indian online transportation network Ola has now extended its complimentary “Auto-Connect WiFi” service to its Ola auto rickshaw facility across 73 cities in the country. Wi-Fi connectivity for Ola customers will begin as soon as their trip starts. First-time users will have to connect via “one-time authentication” key on their phones.
A Connected Experience for Customers
“With ‘Auto-Connect Wifi’, we are reinventing the three-wheelers and enabling a connected experience for our customers,” said Siddharth Agrawal, Senior Director and Category Head-Auto at Ola.
Consuming 20MB Data on an Average
Ola earlier claimed that over 200TB of data was being consumed monthly by its Ola Prime users. Currently, Ola users are consuming 20MB data on an average.
The company earlier expanded the Wi-Fi offering to Mini, Lux and Micro. Ola, since its launch in 2014 has over 1, 20,000 autorickshaws registered on its platform. Ola app for auto driver partners is available in English and eight local languages.
