Various digital payments company Like Paytm, MobiKwik and Ridlr are now keen to provide commuters tickets digitally so as to drive their business. These payments entity are trying to move daily metro and bus tickets from cash to digital, for which they have partnered with various transport services.

“We are working with the Navi Mumbai transport service, Mira Bhayandar Transport company and BEST.… where commuters can buy their tickets and monthly passes through Ridlr,” said Brijraj Vaghani, founder of Ridlr.
Ridlr has also partnered with Mumbai Metro and has integrated with gates at the stations to allow commuters to buy the digital tickets.
Paytm Partners with City Bus Services
Just like Ridlr, Paytm has also partnered with a lot of major city bus services and so has MobiKwik, allying with entities such as Aamchi Mumbai, Mumbai Metro, Gujarat State Road Transport, Uttar Pradesh Transport and Himachal Pradesh Transport. Paytm, is also targeting daily metro commuters in Mumbai, Hyderabad and Delhi.
Government Pushing for Digital Toll Payments
Other than this city transport conspires, the government is pushing for digital toll payments. National Payments Corp of India (NPCI) is working intimately with the National Highways Authority of India and 11banks to issue labels.
“We expect Maharashtra State Road Development and Madhya Pradesh State Road Development to extend the programme to all the other toll plazas soon,” said NPCI in a statement.
