Facebook is planning to integrate more ads across its Messenger App. Facebook announced about these ads and according to the company, these ads will give users an opportunity to ‘discover experiences.’


How this would help the businesses?

Ted Helwick, the product manager at Facebook Messenger said “Today we’re pleased to announce the global beta expansion of Messenger ads. People already spend time on Messenger interacting and conducting commerce with businesses and brands they love, and now with Messenger ads, they have an opportunity to discover experiences directly on their home tab”.


A boon to advertisers

Advertisers will see these Messenger ads as part of automatic placements within Power Editor and Ads Manager. Advertisers will be able to add Messenger to their campaigns with the proper targeting options to attract their rightful audience.


Additional things to know

These ads will be visible only on the home tab of Messenger and not inside any chat. These Messenger chats will also expand to more users as well.
Facebook Messenger already shows some sponsored messages and ads. But these sponsored messages can be sent by companies to only those users with whom they had a conversation.
