The Startup India Hub, by Nirmala Sitharaman is launched with the objective of providing the venture funds and government benefits to the startups directly from the platform who are not aware them.
About Startup India Hub
The Startup India Hub has been developed as a key initiative under the Modi government’s flagship Startup India programme and claims to be resource platform for all stakeholders in the startup system including startups, venture investors, mentors, academia, incubators and accelerators.
Included schemes
It has a total of 167 schemes some of which are- Technology Development Programme, Software Technology Park scheme, Support for International Patent Protection, Electronic Development Fund Policy, Bank Credit Facilitation and Performance & Credit Rating Scheme.
The stakeholder involvement
“We will be giving them a formal profile and log-in details so that their application procedures can go live on the Startup India Hub,” said Karan Anand, assistant vice-president, Invest India. He also added that
“We have recently tied up with companies that have launched funds including BPCL with whom we have signed a MoU to help them invest the fund.”
