An update process which began in early November has now been confirmed by Google. According to Google, it is impacting local search results majorly. The update has completely rolled out.

After November 2019 Local Search Update, Google is trying to apply neural matching to local search results. Neural matching helps Google in understanding the queries in a better way and results in the production of relevant local businesses.
