The US Justice Department and several state attorneys are preparing to file a case against Google for antitrust violations. Antitrust laws focus on uplifting the competition by discouraging big organizations from using their domination in the market unfairly to win over competitors.

Google has been accused to be using its dominating position in the market to harm competitors in Europe. Accusations have been put on by Expedia and TripAdvisor on Google fro using their search results to promote Google’s webpages to win over those of competitors in Europe.
