Google My Business added a property for businesses to create short names in 2019, which means, short URLs for your business profile over Google Maps/Google Search. Now Google Declared that it will not allow businesses to create this anymore.

Google refurbish its help document and said:
Important: You can no longer create or edit short names. Short names and URLs that already exist will still work.

Google has removed the option to create or edit short names in GMB.
If you have listings with no short name, you'll find the short name field has been removed from the dashboard.
