Google has a new search option in mobile says “Browse More ideas” for few queries. The particular box shows a query refinement option to provide you something more specific.

For Example:

If you search for Beach Ideas, it will show you the following as mention in the screenshot:

When you click on any of the searches then it will perform another search for that particular Idea.

Pretty sure this one is new btw. That post you linked is related to eComm for the Popular Products carousel. This one is more focused on blogs/guides. Clicking one of the options just takes you to another search though (pretty basic function). pic.twitter.com/sQ2gGMohrY
