Instagram has added a new story feature by which people can provide assistance on Giving Tuesday. These stories will be posted publicly and most creative thing is that the Story frames contain donation stickers.
“We’re featuring a shared “Giving Tuesday” story at the front of your Stories bar, encouraging people to support small businesses directly on Instagram. Accounts you follow who use the “I Donated” or the “Donation” sticker will be added to the shared story for a limited time.”
Instagram has already used story features for many big events, may it be encouraging community engagement or to promote any causes. And with SMBs needing extra assistance as they work through the impacts of the pandemic and to support this year will take a lot of effort than before.
There are also plenty of ways you can show love for your favorite small businesses on Instagram — whether it’s using our “Support Small Business” or “Buy Black” stickers on Stories to highlight businesses to your followers or ordering food directly from your favorite local restaurant via Instagram. The @shop account also showcases the people behind your favorite businesses and allows you to shop directly from the app to show support.
