LinkedIn has declared that it is testing out ads in LinkedIn Stories, after introducing Stories to all the users back in September.
Recommendation:
LinkedIn Updated Its Avatar, Accessing All Users To See LinkedIn Stories
Today, we’re excited to announce that we are testing Stories Ads with a limited number of advertisers in a closed beta with all members globally. Stories Ads can help brands grow their reach with our community of more than 722M members with video and image ads. Already, we have had more than 600 advertisers activate campaigns with positive performance in clicks, views and cost metrics.
LinkedIn stories ads will allow users to use LinkedIn’s ad targeting tools to get specific audiences and reach out to them with a single image and full-screen video ads. LinkedIn as a matter of fact hasn’t yet declared any numbers on how the stories have been working out for the company. Though it doesn’t really add much still the advertisers want to know how people are responding to the stories and what the engagement rates are like. It is strange to see that LinkedIn has not given any indicator of performance as to what the introduction could mean for your campaign in the announcement of the new ad product.
Conclusion
Therefore there are comments around that does it mean that users are using stories as much what LinkedIn would have expected. Considering this, users might not jump straight to the LinkedIn stories ads when they get live. LinkedIn does state that the company will provide the comparative metrics for the stories ads performance as when they are available to use. The company as of now is testing out the Stories Ads with a beta group of advertisers and is planning to roll it out in 2021.
