The state government will train 20000 youth in the coming 5 years with the help of cab aggregator Ola.
Govt wants to make micro-entrepreneurs
Chief Minister of Mumbai, Devendra Fadnavis declared on June 24, 2017 that the skill development department is to launch a project in partnership of Ola to make micro-entrepreneurs.
Ola will teach how to drive cars
“The private cab aggregator will train youth how to drive cars, how to use apps and other basic training of entrepreneurship. In the first phase, the company will train 10,000 youths in two years”, said by a department official.
Youth can buy and drive cars with the help of Govt and Ola
Ola made a suggestion that the trained youth be provided with loans at cheaper interest rate so that they can buy their own cars assisted with schemes run by the government.
The CM of Maharashtra, Fadnavis has asked the concerned departments and given them a 3 month period to come up with an action plan.
Govt wants to create jobs and skilled youth
Chief Minister’s office said in a statement that, “The government intends to develop skills of youth and create jobs. Through the Pramod Mahajan Kaushalya Vikas Yojana, youth in various sectors are being trained to become entrepreneurs”.
Ola helps youth to get employment
It is revealed that Ola has created employment for large number of youth groups which is almost five lakh in number and it also ferries almost 4 crore passengers.
