Facebook has placed its Safety Check feature on the Facebook application in web and mobile after recently coming up with new News Feed algorithm to block static image as videos.

What a Safety Check feature does?
The said feature was launched in 2014 with the sole intention of saving users from any disastrous event. For this, Facebook stated, “There’s now a single place to go to see where Safety Check has recently been activated, get the information you need, and potentially be able to help affected areas”.

The feature’s listings

The section shows some of the unfortunate events with Facebook’s own screenshots to display Safety Check links from fires to accidents that occurred around the world. The users get to see their friend’s marked themselves as safe.

How does this help?

If Safety Check is activated close to the location, then the user gets the opportunity to provide help like offering food, clothing as well as cash. Facebook is making sure that real emergencies are detected at the required time.
