As the San Francisco based technological company Uber is under investigation for possible violation of bribery laws, the firm is cooperating with US Department of justice. The preliminary investigation is the latest in a series of legal wrangles for Uber.

The Preliminary Investigation

A spokesperson for the organization affirmed the presence of a “preparatory examination” following a report by the Wall Street Journal on Tuesday that the Justice Department had begun testing whether directors at Uber damaged US laws against pay off of remote authorities, particularly the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act.

Till now it’s not clear whether the investigation is being done in one country or various other countries.

The Selection of Khosrowshahi as CEO

The Uber board on Sunday voted to choose Dara Khosrowshahi as the organization’s next pioneer to supplant prime supporter Travis Kalanick, who was removed in June under investor weight, sources told Reuters.

Khosrowshahi, 48, on Tuesday made his first open remarks since the board’s choice to make him CEO in two meetings in which he affirmed he intends to acknowledge Uber’s best employment, notwithstanding the organization’s numerous issues. He made the remarks at a formerly booked occasion at Expedia’s headquarters in Bellevue, Washington.
