Go-to neighborhood food delivery Freshmenu has now opened its first front-facing kitchen at Bangalore airport to expand its order base. Freshmenu has overall 35 cloud kitchens across Bangalore, Mumbai and Delhi-NCR and is now planning to increase the count to 40-42 in next 4 months.
Doubling its Footprint in Mumbai
“In the last 6 months, we have doubled our footprint in Mumbai, opened a lot more kitchens. In this last month alone, we have opened 5 kitchens including the one at the Bangalore airport,” said Rashmi Daga, CEO of Freshmenu.
Newer Kitchens to be Opened in 3 Cities
Daga has no plans of opening more front-facing kitchens with the newer kitchens focused only on the existing 3 cities. Freshmenu at present clocks 13,000 requests for every day with an average order value at Rs 325, barely short of the Naspers-sponsored Swiggy which tickers orders worth Rs 350 on a normal.
With expansion of its kitchens, Freshmenu is now targeting a 2x growth in revenues even as it chalks out a path to profitability. “The trajectory to profitability is very strong. We will be profitable at the net level within 1 year,” said Daga.
