Indian e-commerce company Flipkart and American e-commerce company Amazon’s mobile applications have touched 10-crore download mark on Google play sore. Just before a month, both the e-commerce giant’s apps were in the 50100 million categories.
Downloading of Mobile Apps in the Country
Entertainment app Hotstar was the first in India that crossed 10 crore downloads. Later in August, MyJio app crossed this mark. Mobile apps of Myntra, Jabong and PhonePe are all in the 10-50 million categories.
Just like these entertainment and e-commerce apps, mobile applications of Ola and Snapdeal have been downloaded more than 50 million times, but less than 100 million.
Top Downloaded Apps in India
WhatsApp, Facebook, Messenger, UC Browser and TrueCaller were some of the top downloaded mobile applications in India. However, the India-specific download numbers are not known for these apps. Further, Google apps like Search, Gmail, Maps, and Chrome figure were not in the top downloads as these apps come pre-installed on most Android phones.
