Yesterday, Microsoft has declared a beta version for its Bing Content Submission API. The beta version is currently available for the site owners, publishers, webmasters, etc. Two years back, Microsoft has come up with a URL submission API, from there Content Submission API was in private beta.

URL Submission API
The URL submission API allows website owners to submit URLs either for crawling or for re-crawling. According to various users, this API is really helpful and useful as well.
Content Submission API
However, content submission API is different from URL submission API. It allows HTML to go as well. On a technical basis, it stops Bingbot to access the page. Through this API, users are just pushing their URL and content to Bing for indexing.

About beta: This was in private beta (restricted). Now this is more open. We will review based on usage and adjust as appropriate : submitting URL+Content is more technical challenging than just submitting URLs. BWT reporting for this area will evolve to cover more and help more.
