With the testing going on over the share button in Stories, Instagram brings their latest Stories Archive and other Presentation options with a range of opportunities for the user to traverse.


About ‘Stories Highlights’

The main update in the Stories will allow the users to display Instagram Stories content on their profiles and a new Stories bar will be displayed below the bio info. The user can choose which of his Stories videos and image posts will be placed under which category. He can add up to 100 photos or videos under each Story Highlights

Previously the Stories could be viewed for only 24 hours and that’s why Stories Archive came into existence that will allow the user to view the Stories for more than 24 hours. Instagram commented “Moving forward, your stories will automatically save to your archive when they expire. This makes it easy for you to revisit your favourite moments later on or bring them back to life in a highlight”. All the Stories are saved under private archive which can sorted to be shared through Highlights.

Now, when the Story is available for more than 24 hours, it will encourage the user to create more alluring and story-telling posts which can be displayed on the user’s profile, displaying his personality or any business proposition. It will prompt a better conversation for the organizations. This will enable the brand to create a Story for their product, or Highlights on their latest campaigns, query sessions etc. The archived Stories can be posted via Direct Messages.
