Facebook is helping out the content creators enhance their revenue opportunities by adding more ways to claim monetization rights when their content is posted again across The Social Network, also giving the creators access to its content claim tools. The main change to look for is the claiming ownership of the duplicate content and related ad revenue with it.
Now Creators in the Rights Manager, can set up new rules for finding out the duplicate content as it is posted, then claim the ad revenue from that content through the tool.
We’ve improved our Collect Ad Earnings tool and are expanding availability, which means that more creators will be able to collect ad earnings from matching videos that include in-stream ads. We’ve added a new filter view for spotting monetizable matches, better guidance for how to capture monetization opportunities, exportable revenue reports, and the ability to collect ad earnings while placing an ownership link on the matched video.
This will indeed help the creators to manage their content efficiently and enhance their revenue potential, via all reposts across Facebook’s network. Along with this Facebook is also extending access to the Rights Manager, so as to give the creators more control over where, when, and how their content has been shared across Instagram and Facebook.
Creators of all sizes will now be eligible to join Rights Manager, in the interest of ensuring more people on our platform are able to protect and manage their IP.
