Indian e-commerce company Flipkart plans to acquire mobile and IT service company F1Info Solutions, as it further plans to expand its capabilities in mobile service domain.

F1 Info Solutions to be Part of Jeeves

F1 Info Solutions, which has a pan-India nearness of owned and franchised centers, will be a piece of Jeeves, Flipkart’s organization that is an outsider specialist organization for huge and little apparatuses, furniture.

“We wanted to expand our service capabilities into the mobiles service domain given how significant mobile sales are on the Flipkart platform,” said Abhijit Upadhye, head of Jeeves.

Flipkart Plans to use eBay to Sell Refurbished Products

Flipkart plans to use eBay India platform to sell second hand and refurbished products including smartphones. This acquisition ties-in with their system of gathering used items through the organization’s buyback certification and trade offers and repair them keeping in mind the end goal to make it re-sellable.

Established in 2012, F1 Info Solutions is a neutral service provider with a distributed repair service network of around 158 centers in 135 cities. F1 Info’s CEO, Shammi Moza will join Flipkart as a senior director. After this acquisition, Flipkart customers would be able to get their phones repaired at authorized service centers within the warranty period.

FI Info Solution has close to 1000 employees, who will be now part of Jeeves. It is also a service partner of several global mobile and IT brands such as Apple, Samsung and others.
