There were a lot of complaints made for the pages dropped in Google Indexing. Many tools showed fluctuations in the ranking. Last week it was predicted, there is some update in Google Search Ranking, however, that turned out to be a canonical issue.

Similar story in GSC as well? No obvious factors as to why URL not indexed?

Google have stated that an indexing issue has been fixed, but it doesn't appear to be a news-only problem.
We're seeing this morning a few issues where pages are being de-indexed – hopefully this will be fixed soon? @searchliaison

Looks like there might be a deindexing issue again on Google. I had a page which deindexed (not the ongoing canonical issue). Google crawled but didn't index. Tested live URL in SC and said its should be indexed. Resubmitted for indexing and its back in the SERPs
