The change in the Instagram’s feed will not just end with following hashtags but has confirmed the testing of “recommended for you” posts that will display the images from those users that are not being followed currently.

What is the change?

As per the declaration, the posts will appear in the news feed section that has been liked or commented by the user’s friend with the help of some algorithm. This is somehow will give the look of Facebook to it. But, the feature is not new as the users can find the recommended posts by scrolling in the following tab inside notifications.

The trend of testing

Instagram is very keen on changing the look of feed and is doing a lot of testing like the following of hashtags and the share button that will encourage users to share photos of another user. Even the previous feed structure which showed posts in chronological order has been changed to a different one with their latest algorithm to display the posts that are of higher priority.
