Google’s recent announcement after refreshing the AdWords script pertains to their search results. Now, it will label the country services on mobile web or desktop a little differently.

What is the latest change?

Since Google analysed that one in five searches are location related it will make search results more appropriate by automatically making the country code domain name acquire the default code as per the location of the search.

What did Google say on this?

So if you live in Australia, you’ll automatically receive the country service for Australia, but when you travel to New Zealand, your results will switch automatically to the country service for New Zealand. Upon return to Australia, you will seamlessly revert back to the Australian country service.

The benefits for user

The user would not require manual typing of ccTLD into the browser. Users can go to their settings and select the required country service getting an appropriate search result.
