Google is providing a new source to advertisers to grab leads by adding lead form extensions to YouTube Discovery campaigns. Google launched these lead form extension previous year adding them in search campaigns.

Advertisers add lead forms to ads appearing in search results and it will be seen on YouTube and Discover. All this is done through extensions. Once the user will click on the ad, the form will appear. It will be a conversion form if the user wants to fill without moving to any other screen. However, if the user is logged in by Google Account, the form will fill automatically.

Jeeps claim to see a 10 times increase in leads, in the early test of Lead form extension on YouTube. According to Jeep, this extension is the best cost-efficient way to make leads across all the ad platforms.

Working Of Extension

Advertisers collect leads from ads directly, users are not directed to the landing page.

Leads forms are added to the current running campaign for search ads, whereas, for video campaigns, lead forms are added while creating the campaign. They can see easily added from the campaign settings menu.

Two Types Of Leads While Creating Video Content

  1. Higher Intent – It helps reach people who are interested in the product.
  2. More Volume – It helps reach the maximum number of people.

Advertisers are also asked about the information they want to know from the users. This includes:

  • Name
  • Phone number
  • Email
  • City
  • Zip/Postal code
  • State/Province
  • Country
  • The company they work for
  • Job title
  • Work email
  • Work phone number

The advertiser can write questions on their own on which they want to know from the users, however, there are some standard questions. Specific questions are also there regarding every section like auto industries, property buyers, job seekers, etc.

Lead Data can be downloaded and managed in the CSV file. Only 30 days of leads can be downloaded.
