Google is testing a new feature on local results i.e “request quote” button. It is not clear whether Google has launched this feature or it is on test mode.

Local Service Ads

This feature rolls under local service ads. Local service ads need businesses to be Google Guaranteed and must have licenses, insurance, and other necessary background checks.

Messaging By Google My Business

This is another feature through which consumers and businesses can interact with each other. The consumer needs to fill out the form before submitting a request. The form contains general information about the business which is not sufficient for the consumers.

The quote will be delivered to businesses through Google My Businesses only. The business owners have to download Google My Business app in order to avail of this feature. This could be another strategy by Google for encouraging business owners to look at Google My Business.
