Last year in November, Google was trying to insert a link in featured snippet but of a third party website. In the other words, Google was not inserting a link to a featured snippet website. This seems like Google is still doing the same thing.

Conclusion
Many of the SEOs are disappointed with this. Google takes the website content and puts a link of the other site is not justified. With this many original websites, content rank on top but don’t get that much traffic.
