Google is releasing four new attributes that businesses can make use of to stand out their Google My Business listing in search results. The following four attributes have now started to appear in the business’s knowledge panels:
- Online Appointment
- Online Estimates
- Online Care
- Online Classes
Businesses can use and add any of these attributes to their Google My Business profile and Google might display them in the search results for related searches.

Attributes are created to attract searchers’ attention by displaying important service offerings via which they can make more informed decisions. With a lot of businesses are closed right now there has been a shift to online services. People are looking for online services as an alternative to services that they can not access in person. Services include therapists, doctors, fitness guides, and more.

Here’s How To Add Attributes To Your Google My Business Listing
Businesses can add the existing or the new attributes by following these steps below:
- Sign in to your Google My Business.
- Open up the location you want to manage.
- Click Info, from the menu
- Search ” Add Attributes” and tap Edit ( You can search for the attribute you want or scroll through the options)
- Click Apply once finished with the attributes.
Attributes are available to use according to the business category, all the businesses do not have access to all the attributes. This is for the second time that Google has added attributes in less than a month and is rolling out steadily since the pandemic hit. Google added three new attributes back in May to help restaurants to display if they are offering takeout, deliver services or dine-in. It is interesting to see how Google My Business updates, as now businesses are adjusting to the new normal.
