Google rolls out a new “Curbside Pickup” listing option for businesses to provide no contact shopping options during the COVID-19 lockdown through local inventory and Google My Business profiles.
As seen in the picture a “Curbside Pickup” option is added to the local inventory ads for businesses. It provides more relevant information even without actually clicking on the ad which adds up to more promotional elements. This option as of now is in beta and available to use by regions where local inventory ads are released and those who are done with the process of store pickup.
Even if you are not displaying local inventory ads, you still can add a curbside pick up listing through your Google My Business profile that will be showcased then in Maps and search. These are minor introductions but it will make it easier to fulfill needs and make sure to offer your listings to customers looking to keep social distancing requirements.
