Google is beginning a new Google Ads content policy called “Evasive Ad Content.” This new policy will extend the prohibited manipulations of trademark terms in ad text to logos, subdomains, and domains; illegal usage of the UNICODE characters in the ads that do not add much value to the content of the ad for users; and reject manipulations of the videos or images to hide policy-violating content.
Recommendation:
This new “Evasive Ad Content” policy will be implemented on May 4th, 2021.
Will reorganize our Abusing the Ad Network policy for improved readability and understanding. Certain policy actions and corresponding messaging to Google advertisers will include updated policy names.
Google states that the violation of this policy will not lead to instant account suspension without any prior warning. A warning will be given at least 7 days prior to the account suspension, similar to most of the other Google Ads policies.
