Google is working on some new local features in Search which include a new local finder design and a new way to push users to use the chat option in a business local knowledge panel.

The new local finder test by Google is a new style of result in the local pack for several service categories. There are few categories that have been impacted and we can see some big changes to the business profiles. In the picture below, you can see the old view on the right and the new design on the left.

Google is also pushing the searchers to make use of the new chat button with this text overlay that says “new! message with a live agent.”
