Instagram has been working on it for the last few months and now, Instagram released a first live trial of the ability to publish feed posts from the desktop version of the application, full accessibility of uploading & posting options are now accessible by a small group of users.

As shown in the above tweet by Matt Navarra, some users are now able to see the desktop posting & icon on the top of Instagram. If any user clicks on it then the user will be able to upload images & videos from their desktop.

After adding images & videos, you will get all the options of editing that you’ve in the app for editing feed post including image tools & various filters.

Users also upload directly from site providing other ways to manage instagram content & more.

Meanwhile users can’t update their stories or reels at the moment, but yes additional test shows that users can upload IGTV videos  with full functionality is coming in near future.

This step can be a big boost for Marketing managers to align their work in a flow. But here is one thing to note that it is not available to all users yet

As Per Instagram to SMT:

We know that many people access Instagram from their computer. To improve that experience, we’re now testing the ability to create a Feed post on Instagram with their desktop browser.

Instagram explains that this is a small test, they are also looking to further expansion soon.
