This is a little gloomy, but
Instagram has recently announced that it is stepping up the development of account memorialization tool for users who have been passed away due to impacts of COVID-19.
The new account memorialization tool will add a “Remembering” icon below the profile image and will showcase a flower icon to the profile visitors.

Statement By Instagram
It is considered as a reminder of the real, human impact of COVID-19. The coronavirus pandemic has created fear in the minds of people all around the world affecting so many families. In the US alone more than 47,000 people have died of COVID-19 at the time of writing and a number of 182,000 people have died by coronavirus worldwide.
In this regard, Instagram is speeding up the development of this tool. Which seems to be an unpleasant thought. This new tool will be added to existing memorialization options, which will lock the account and stop anyone to make changes to it. Content will no longer be displayed in explore feeds from these memorialized accounts.
There is no as such official date of release but is it is expected to roll out soon.
