LinkedIn’s latest job posting data shows signs of recovery in some regions as businesses are working to get back to normal amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
As seen above, China’s job data is showing an upward trend which could be a positive thing for other markets. Singapore and France are starting to show critical recoveries along with job postings in the UK, the US and Australia are moving up.
It is not possible to see the full impact of the COVID-19 pandemic in terms of economic because we are still living through it and the shut down of traveling international will have long term effects. Secondly, it does not matter what we see now we will not be able to see the full impact for some time.
But as of now considering the flood of negativity, it seems like a positive small light at the other end of the tunnel. A positive note for social media trainers and advisors:
We’ll need widespread reskilling for people who’ve lost jobs and need to acquire digital literacy skills like social media and basic web design; communication and teamwork to navigate a virtual workplace; and soft skills like how to give feedback and overcoming bias.
We at this point in time are living in such a situation that we all are doing the best to deal with impacts and uncertainties. But it might be that things are back on the road to recovery.
