There are many reports of reviews not publishing and going live in the Google local results. So if a user drops a review to a business in Google Local and Google Maps then those reviews are either delayed or not publishing.
Recommendation:
I have seen a few threads/conversations lately around missing reviews. Businesses are complaining that people are posting reviews for them but they aren’t publishing.

There is no information on how widely this issue is spread but there are few complaints in the Google My Business Help forums as well.
