Snapchat is introducing more courses to its marketer education platform which provides free certifications for various types of direct-response advertising. A series of courses in the ‘Snap Connect’ lets marketers gain knowledge directly from Snapchat advertising experts.

Snapchat as of now offers three Snap Connect certifications. Marketers can learn how to use Snapchat’s advertising tools to fulfill the following objectives:
- Get customers to an e-commerce website or app.
- App promotion to get more installs.
- Create awareness and installs for a mobile game.
In order to earn a Snap Connect certification, marketers need to go through a series of video modules that provide product solutions, creative best practices, fresh insights, and success stories of clients. The whole process of getting a certification from watching the videos to passing the exam is entirely free.
Snap Connect Certifications
Separate modules are offered in each of the three certifications for international marketers and North American. Here is a look at the e-commerce module for marketers in North America:
There are four courses that range from 4 to 11 minutes in length. There is a 30-minute exam to pass at the end. In each module, there are courses on community insights, advertiser solutions, creative strategy, and success stories. To take the exam and see the content a Snapchat Ads Manager account is necessary.
Snap Focus Certification Program
A certification program that came out in June, called Snap Focus, lets marketers learn the basics of advertising on Snapchat. The Snap Focus is wider in scope in comparison to Snap Connect. The video ranges from 9 to 33 minutes in length and there is no such final exam. Marketers can earn Snapchat Ads Manager certification by completing all 6 videos.
