Last month itself, Twitter has opened applications for verification. This brings a ray of light for the users to check whether they are credible for verification or not.

Major Guidelines
This time, Twitter has set some high standards/rules for the profiles to get verified. To start with, users profiles must fall into these categories:
- Government
- Companies, Brands, and Organizations
- News Organizations and Journalists
- Entertainment
- Sports and Gaming
- Activists, Organizers, and Other Influential Individuals
Many users who will think they can get verified profile, they are falling into the last category which is “Influential Individuals”.
Conclusion
In the end, the company will be hiring too many admins for accessing these applications. But it seems like many of the users doesn’t care about verified profile over this platform.
