As shown in the image above the Fleet Ads are similar to Tiktok or Instagram Stories promotion, it displays between the fleets of people you follow & has a promoted tag beneath the profile info in top left. Its the first time twitter provides full screen vertical format ads in the app.
Twitter also tested the same back in 2017 with the full screen ads in the Moments, but it does not take a great shape.
With this announcement, twitter notes that it can also bring the full screen ads to other options within the app.
According To Twitter:
As we experiment on this new surface for ads, we’ll take a close look at how vertical, full-screen ads perform on Twitter. We want to understand how this content performs for customers not just for Fleet ads, but for future iterations of full-screen formats on Twitter. We also believe that ads should be non-intrusive and bring value to people, so we’re focused on learning more about how people feel about and engage with this new placement.
Its a matter of interest in seeing what twitter brings more for users within the app which will be fruitful for users.
