American e-commerce giant Amazon is working out unique deals with white-goods makers and retail chains to create fulfillment centers for buyers of TVs, refrigerators, on its website. The strategy involves using these stores for delivers after goods are ordered on Amazon. By doing this Amazon aims to secure leadership in the appliances category.
Amazon tries to get Offline Shoppers to Buy Online
“We are trying to get offline shoppers of consumer electronics to buy online by overcoming all the barriers to become the largest e-commerce seller in these segments. We have set up our own studio to shoot and upload product videos and are also asking the brands to provide their videos to demystify technical terms and demonstrate the product online, “said Kaveesh Chawla, Amazon India director.
Amazon Partners with Samsung
Chawla further said that “Amazon has successfully partnered with Samsung to utilize its brand store network, termed as Samsung Licensed Partner, to act as the last-mile fulfillment centers for any Samsung product ordered online.”
“Partnering with brand’s retail shops or regional retailers will help reduce delivery time, return rate, and the possibility of transit damage.”
Amazon Plans to start an Advertising Campaign
