This week Facebook will launch new updates that allow parents to check their child’s app more briefly and control their data. There is a need for strict controls for sure.
Parents will be able to check their child activities by simply going into ‘Parent Dashboard”, which Facebook will be adding in the new update. By this, they can also know the time spent by their child on the app and with whom they are interacting.

Recent Contacts and Chat History
With this, parents can check the frequency of conversation done in the past 30 days, this will enable parents to check with whom their child is chatting, and is it a video chat or messages.
Log of Images in Chat
Inappropriate videos or images can be removed from the messaging thread as now parents will be able to check the video and images received or sent by their child.
Reported and Blocked Contact History
List of blocked and reported actions in the child app can be seen.
Remote Device Logout
The parents will be able to log out the Messenger kids from any device their child is logged into, they can also check in how many devices the app is logged in.
As Messenger Kids is not used for the purposes of the ads, it has the track of all the data like contacts, messages, images, and videos that are sent and received. Parents can download this information from the dashboard tool but the notification will be sent to the child when parents will try to download the information.
