Auto Caption Options could be very crucial for social media managers. As for now, Instagram is testing out its new “Closed Caption” stickers for its IG Stories. This feature will provide automated captions for story clips in a text format.
It seems like Instagram is experimenting with four text style options. It includes:
- Typewriter-Esque Block Text
- Larger Words Block Text
- Basic Block Letters

Availability
Some of the users will be able to use this auto caption option in their Instagram app. But users may find this as a glitch too. Instagram has already confirmed that the feature is in the testing phase only. That’s why users are going to see an error message.
The auto-caption option seems to be a similar feature present in threads. Last year itself, Instagram has released this feature to its threads app. Threads get famous not because people wanted to send messages to their inner circle but to use the auto-generated caption feature. The video created on Threads can be further uploaded on TikTok.
Conclusion
There is no definite timeline provided by Instagram for releasing the auto-captions option to the public. However, the company is working very fast to make this feature live as soon as possible.
