New “people cards” by Google lets people link to their social profiles, websites, and other related pages all from one place. Google’s virtual business cards are displayed when a person’s name is searched for in the search results.
Steps To Create A People Card
Step 1
Type in the query “add me to search” and then you will have the option to create a people card on the top of the screen.

Click on “Get Started” to start the creation of your card.
Step 2
Type in all your information. Click on the button to get started. Then there you will get to see the following screen:
Under the required fields you will get to see a section of the additional information that you can include if you wish to. The fields displayed below in the image are all optional. It’s up to you how many you wish to add.
Google allows you to add links to these social profiles:
- SoundCloud
- YouTube
Most of the information is entered manually but there are two exceptions that are phone number and email. Google automatically fills the phone number and email details via the information in your Google account. You can not make changes to the phone number or email on the people card without having it changed in your Google account. There is the option to not to display the email or phone number if you prefer not to reveal personal details.
Step 3
After the information has been filled then the only option left is to preview the card. Once everything is done and you are satisfied with your card preview you can then save it and it will then be indexed immediately in the search results. Just search for your name after it goes live to see how it looks like
Keep this in mind that Google’s people card can only be seen to searchers in India. There is no such information by Google when this feature will be available to other countries.
Set People Card Outside India
