After making it easier for professionals to hire better with ‘Talent Insights’, LinkedIn is taking into consideration about their busy schedule and have launched its smart reply feature that will prove helpful in situations where the user is unable to type a proper reply. Even a similar method of conversation is currently used by Messenger with their ‘M Suggestions’.
About Smart Replies
These are the type of replies that will use machine learning in forming replies while the user is undergoing a conversation with co-worker etc.
Like if your colleague is asking about going out, the feature may form responses such as “Yes”, “Sure” etc.
What LinkedIn stated about the new feature?
Arpit Dhariwal, the product manager commented “The conversations you have on LinkedIn can open up a variety of opportunities, ranging from making an introduction to your next boss to getting valuable advice from a peer in your industry,” He also added “But we know that finding the time to reply or simply be responsive to incoming messages can sometimes be a challenge with everything else you have going on.”
More about the feature
This feature will be available to users all over the globe in English on mobile or desktop. It will eventually save time and if the user is unhappy with the responses, he might turn-off the settings.
