The Facebook’s ongoing fight with fake links has now taken a new turn. It is going to look after the fake content that are being posted in the platform.

What Facebook has to say about the fake content?

“Research has shown that when people see a link to an article, it can be difficult for them to associate that link with a particular source. A recent study by the Pew Research Center found that only 56% of respondents could recall the source of a new link viewed on social sites.”

What is the strategy being used?

Facebook has decided to use Publisher Logo for the approved sites which will help the users before clicking on it. The logos will appear in both the search results and News module.

How will this feature benefit the publishers?

Facebook can keep an eye on the fake news. This will also help the publisher to develop a brand thus help them in connecting with the audience in a better way.

More benefits for Publishers on the way

They have come up with different tools like direct connection buttons and email list sign up to bring more audience to the publishers.
